Our Approach
Ongoing
The approach at Saphlicks is culture-led and intention-driven. We design events by starting with the people, the energy, and the purpose of the room, then build everything else around that vision. Programming is treated as storytelling, not scheduling, with careful attention to pacing, sound, and flow so the experience feels natural rather than forced. While each event appears effortless, it is supported by strong planning and flexible structure, allowing space for spontaneity without losing coherence. Community is the priority, the goal is to create environments that feel intimate, meaningful, and worth returning to.
From Concept to Night Of
Concept & Audience
Saphlicks is a culture-led event series and community rooted in film, and intentional gathering. Each event begins by defining the audience, the flow of the room, and the cultural intention behind the night.
Programming & Flow
Events are designed as experiences, not schedules. Music, pacing, and transitions are treated as a narrative, guiding how the night unfolds and how people move, connect, and stay.
Production & Logistics
Every detail is planned in advance — from vendors and spatial layout to run of show and contingencies — ensuring the environment feels effortless while remaining tightly controlled.
Live Execution
On the night of, Sapphlics operates hands-on and in real time, directing the flow of the room and making adjustments as needed to preserve the energy, cohesion, and integrity of the experience.
Metrics & Attendance
Saphlicks launched with a sold-out first screening of 70 guests. Since then, screenings have consistently averaged 50 attendees, while mixers draw approximately 70 guests per event. Growth has been driven primarily through word of mouth and repeat attendance, reflecting strong community engagement and sustained interest.
Sponsorships & Venues
Saphlicks has collaborated with beverage and lifestyle partners including Drink Ddio, Drink Lunar, and Buddha Popcorn, supporting screenings and mixers through intentional brand alignment rather than mass promotion. Events have been hosted at cultural and creative spaces across New York City, including KI Smith Gallery, Caveat, 3rd Space, and The Bush, reinforcing Sapphlics’ focus on community-driven programming within established creative environments.
